Vietnam is a country with favorable conditions for rattan and bamboo species to develop. According to incomplete statistics, the country now has about 6 genera with 30 rattan species in nature and distributed in many places, of which there are concentrated in 3 regions: Northwest, North Central and Old Quarter 4, South and South Central. However, with the rapid development of export rattan and bamboo, natural rattan and bamboo material has been significantly reduced. Currently, the rattan sector is importing about 33,000 tons of raw materials per year for production.
